Long pants and hiking boots or running shoes, as the stirrups have covers on them.

In Ontario it is mandatory for anyone 18 years of age and under to wear a certified ASTM riding helmet. While it is not mandatory for those over 18 years old it is highly recommended and encouraged as we prefer to set a good example. Its better to be safe than sorry. We have a wide variety of helmet styles and they are disinfected after each use. 

The flies are very friendly May-mid August. They do like the horses more than the people but it never hurts to put some on. It is recommended to have fly spray with you on our longer rides in which you get off the horses. 

Yes, we have saddle bags, available at check in.

Photos can be taken when your group returns to the stable, where we have staff members to help situate the horses to ensure you get the best shot. 

Double riding is not permitted as it is very unsafe.

Yes, please be sure to book your ride at least 24 hours in advance to ensure there are horses available, when you arrive.

We ride rain or shine unless there is thunder and lightning. If you are concerned before coming for your ride please give us a call at (705)448-1751. Often times if its raining where you are, its not raining here.

Horses are measured in “hands”. There are 4 inches to a hand. A pony is 14.2 hands and under, while a horse is 14.3 hands and above. Therefore the majority of our ” horses” are technically ponies. 

Our experienced trail guides assign each rider to the appropriate horse as we know the horses best and spend the most time with them, ensuring that you have the best riding experience possible.
